The Kera Foundation was established in 2015 and is registered in the city of Veliko Tarnovo.

Its mission is to achieve equality, social justice and sustainable development.

It currently works mainly in the field of human rights protection.

It cooperates with international organizations, such as the Validity Foundation and Disability Rights International, as well as with national organizations.

The main activity of the Foundation is aimed at identifying and addressing key problems in the field of the rights of people with disabilities and taking active actions to overcome them.

Until 2022, the organization conducted strategic affairs, after which this activity was taken over by the Independent Expert Network – WE Association.

Since 2022, the organization has been implementing research projects.
